    Cool VR6 cooling system help!

I'm gonna replace a lot of parts of my cooling system (radiator, thermostat and housing, crack pipe, coolant bottle, temp sensors) pretty much everything except the water pumps.

I really need to take the whole front end of the car off, I take it this is impossible without degassing the air con?

Is there any way around this? I can't see a way to do most of these jobs without undoing the air con houses to the ac condenser.

Any tips on this would be appreciated.

All the stuff your going to do can be done without degassing the A/C, or removing the rad panel.

The Radiator can be pulled out from the bottom with a bit of flexing of the condensor and pipes.

Thermostat, housing and crack pipe - remove the coil, this gives you a lot more room to work. you will need long arms and patience to clean the block for the other end of the crack pipe. Little tip to clean the crack pipe sealing area on the block, Find a socket that will fit in the hole with a bit of emery tape (or sand paper) taped to the socket.

I didn't buy a hose kit mate, although I tried to get a forge one from GAP. They told me they were out of stock indefinitely, but that was going back a few months now. There are silicon hose sets on ebay from Hong Kong or whatever, I think they're no name and could be pov though.
