There are 100 colour concept VR6's in australia. 20 of each colour.
I own me a green one
Sukebe owns a green one too!
The other 98 are a mystery.

Yep all Colour Concepts for VR6's here. The number was posted in this forum before - it was something along the lines of 200 or 250 (edit: whoops, over-estimated! Thanks MattyT)... I believe they were the early models too (i.e. pre-1996).
Special features included leather heated seats, leather door cards and leather gear knob that were colour-coded with the car. Instead of the "VR6" decal on the textured side moulding, it had "Colour Concept" written in the different colours it came in. The leather seats I think had bigger side and leg bolsters (was discussing this was Matt). Performance-wise I don't think they were any different.
I found one about half a year ago at a dealer in the Ashfield area - it was Red with a woodgrain dash, just shy of 200,000km. Was going for $8999. If I had my car sold then, I would probably go for it due to its 'exclusiveness', though I think would have been in for a surprise maintenance-wise!
cOS on the forums has a black Colour Concept for sale, and I know one of the guys on VWVortex has a blue one in Victoria, but it was on sale a few months ago and may have been sold already - from pics, it looks bloody awesome.
yeah i saw that red one in ashfield.. had a look at it... too many kms for my liking..... still looking for a nice one
Would love to get my hands on one of these in yellow

Come to think of it, I've never seen a yellow Mk3 here in Australia...
I have no evidence of this on hand, but I do recall reading that 20 of each colour were earmarked for Australia, but due to poor sales only 5 of each colour were sold. I have a 'salsa green' (aka 'avacado') one, but all the interior leather has been replaced by perforated leather inserts.
Poor sales? No kidding!
There is a colour concept yellow somewhere in Perth, so says the place i'm getting my buckled rims sorted at. Interesting.
