    VR6 coilpack strengthening

I seem to remember some DIY I found years ago that explained how to repair or strengthen a coilpack. The guy covered the whole damn thing is some rubbery coating that seemed to keep it working even when it cracked. Does anyone have any idea what this might be or how to do something similar?

I think I may do this to a brand new, undamaged one as they seem to break really easy and could do with being more tough.

That happens when you place a peice of electronics directly on the engine block. *DERP*

Mine is covered in what looks like baked on blu-tac or some kind of heavy duty thermal epoxy. It's been like that since I bought it 3.5 years ago and is still going strong.
