Thread: VR6 brake upgrade. anyone done one?

    Alex (KI11Z) fitted on a set of Brembos, 300+mm rotors are all I know. He will definitely chime in once he sees this

    Think if i went to that much trouble I'd be going bigger calipers also, are the TT calipers same as VR6 ones or more pistons / different clamping strength?

    no, they are the same as VR6 / TT / R32 / S3 ect.

    I'll be upgrading my brakes soonish, although it will just be slotted rotors, better pads and motul brake fluid.

    I'd love a set of AP racing or Alcons, but is it really worth it on a small hatchback??

    not unless you have the 280mm's

    I'd like to get slotters, but i dont know if i'd gain any power, or just fade resistance.

    asked ecstuning.com how much postage to Aus would be for tt rotors, carriers and some kinda plate thing. apparently its needed. will get back to u guys.
    Oh the kit is $300 US or CAN. just searching thro atm

    the plate is probly a stone gaurd. I'd just piss it off.
    HSV don't use them when they fit the 4 or 6 piston callipers to the cars.

    Well I do have 280mms. Maybe I should order 288mm slotteds and the other bits needed? Hmmmmm

    i'd be pretty keen to upgrade the brakes on my CL... at the moment with my 17"s the drum brakes at the back aren't looking too hot...
