Just a quick question, were you to buy an auto vr6, is it possible to convert it to a manual other than the stock. E.g. a tougher gearbox, or even a 6-speed?
If so, what sort of costs are involved?
It's ugly, totally non-functional, under-developed and costly, but I'll stand by my decision.
I plan on putting in a gear boot/gaiter and manual look shift knob. I saw a write up somewhere about how to do it on a MK4 I think, using a momo knob, with a button on top for unlatching the mechanism.
Or I'll pull the stockie out and cut and glue it, and paint dollar signs all over it or some **** (so signify the amount you gotta spend on a VW auto box). Hmmmm.
