Th ecompressor should be a Sanden V16L on the AAA and same on the 1.8. They mount differently of course and there might be a difference with the front pulley but can be swapped over, however BEWARE if you are using a second handie mate. To top that if you original is stuffed it may have spat crap all over the system and will at the least need to be flushed with the correct cleaner. Condensors can be tricky as they have a very thin core, so keep that in mind. I say this so that whatever way you choose to go , you can have the same fault all over again FAST.

Its not the same compressor, the hoses come out at a different angle and the pulley is wider.

Get yours rebuilt and get the system flushed. Second hand is not worth it on a VR6 as they are labour intensive to fit.

I can get yours rebuilt for $420 exchange with 6 months warranty if you like.
