Look pretty damn good from what I can see so far.
Might be worth resizing the pics, they are a tad on the large side
How hard were the centre insert parts to trim? And what fabric did you end up using?
Yep so i did it
Lorenz and Hawk both inspired me to get started, and once i got going, i couldn't stop!!!
here are some pics:
I only took them of the right side, but the left is exactly the same. Next update in this thread will be the pillars! (probably next weekend)

yeh sorry for the poor quality pics, i've resized them now, anyone who looked before the resize will need to clear their cache...
I used cream microsuede from Spotlight @ $19.95 p/m
You can only slightly see it, but i had to sew a seam in the upper fabric part of the door. Unlike some of the US versions, this part does NOT come out. otherwise it would have been a f*ck load easier than it was.
I'll see if I can take some better pics of the way I did the upper part. I now also have a calico pattern for both the front and rear doors. If anyone else wants to give it a go I'll redo the patterns properly and upload them as a pdf or something...
It took me all day to do it. From 9.30am to about 5pm... with a beer/lunch break for about 30 minutes. In saying that, now that I have a pattern, it would be alot easier if i decided to do it again...
Looking good I must say, is your headliner the same colour?

2008 VRS Wagon. Yellow, very yellow!
Forever blowing bubbles.
thanks for the comments guys!
Unfortunately not. the fabric I got isn't wide enough to span the whole roof so I'm looking at alternate ways of doing it - possibly a black stripe down the middle?
I'll see what I can do Mickey - it's already all glued on so there won't be many pics but i'll definitely do a write up for the DIY thread
Wow that's sick!!!! I really wanted to do this but was turned off by its difficulty, but now that someone has done it here, it'll give me motivation!
You need to give us tips/hints please Lachie!
