dude you smoothed your front bumper... you are like the king of DIY... lol!

i'll sit down tonight and write up as much as I can and post it in a new thread. I've got access to a pattern designing software solution but i've never used it before so I'll see how we go

Unfortunately not. the fabric I got isn't wide enough to span the whole roof so I'm looking at alternate ways of doing it - possibly a black stripe down the middle?

I'll see what I can do Mickey - it's already all glued on so there won't be many pics but i'll definitely do a write up for the DIY thread

Yep, thats the reason I got put off. That removeable section would make it much easier. Matt suggested you could cut up two sets of door cards to make a removeable section, which would fit together neatly... still considering that.

If I had could stitch THROUGH the door card I think I could do something, but it's quickly falling into the too hard basket.... although I have some interesting ideas none the less. I passed up on some door cards last week while I was at Matts place... just seemed like I couldn't get the finish I wanted with the door card in once piece and the tools I have. (Also consider that my door cards are black, matching and pretty much perfect as is )

I will be very interested to see a write up on what you did, but more importantly, I want some info on how you did the edges on the arm insert along with some close up's of those edges. Thats the bit I'm just not convinced I can finish well enough so that it doesn't *annoy* me to tears.

Your words are true Hawk. I would hate to do this myself and have it finish nicely but not well, and be constantly annoyed when I see the edges.

Can't wait for the write-up Lachie!

    What no rear speakers

It looks as if you did all that work and did not even instal rear speakers and tweeters. I installed them in my rear doors and know how hard it is to get the trim off. Now you've got to do it again.

Great trimming though, you clearly do not have kids to mess up the cream!!

why not use the width of the fabric to go from front to back, and then just have a seam in line with the b pillar (or wherever its convenient)... as in go across the car, not lengthways.
