hoe excessive is the gap we're talking about here mike, measuring in mm's? like i said, mine is like 5mm out side to side but thats due to the sway bars, you have them dont you? or just the rear? . . .

He'd hear clunking then whilst driving, no?

Bro, get a damb wheel alignment! that sounds like crazy uneven camber there then perhaps have another "looksie" at your gaps . . .
I'm guessing you have had your weatbix this morning Alex?

Haha cheers for the tips Alex. Yes, some of it is to do with camber but it's too severe with only a little camber to be solely that.

Oh, and I've only got the stock front swaybar.

Okay well I corrected my camber issues (and tracking while i was at it) and the wheels now sit the same....That gap is still there though. It's about 17-20mm.

Did I read somewhere that you drove over a rd island or something? Maybe that's what pushed it all out of whack.

Yeah that was on the right side...already checked, nothing was bent thanks to 4x4 soft suspension.

Alrightey then looks like the problem is almost gone.

Thankyou to Seb for excellent pricing on OEM parts, I changed the strut top mounts and bearings on the front suspension. The right hand side one was more shagged than the left so that's what was causing a bigger clearance on the left. Now that they're both even the car is only about 8-10mm out side to side. Almost sorted!
