    whilst I will also agree that neons are definately not my thing it is your car so if you really want to then ignore these people

    That said, I'm pretty sure they are illegal, will look very tacky/ricey and in my (and most of the forums) opinion will almost spoil a nice little golf.


    I loved my blue neons on my cars in need for speed back in the day though haha

    There was a few threads on boostcruising about how you can get away with it as there is a loophole in the law.

    Can look okay if it's white but any colours just look dodgy and some colours (red, blue, pruple etc are illegal as they are for designated vehciles (police, Customs, RTA etc)

    Mate what they mean by euro is RHD market.... So long as they are right hand drive golfs you wont have a problem.

    Incorrect there champ!

    What they mean by euro is that it has euro wiring harness! The US has a different wiring harness so they have different plugs.
    I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...

    So can you clarify this for me ? So do the aus cars have the euro harness ? And are there rhd golfs that use the non euro harness ?

    I got all the lights off my car from a wreck in Europe and they all work fine. I'm thinking the aus ones have European wiring harnesses.
