i just got my kerschers for the golf 3 but i got brake clearance issues where the spokes hit the brakes . other websites say that they fit fine.the rears fit fine its only the fronts that dont fit . im lost it looks like i need 10mm spacers .i do know that i have to roll and pull the guards . help if u know know a sollution

they are kerscher carmonas made in italy . thats all i know and they are similar to the borbett type A's.
they hit the carriers as u said but i cant even get the wheel to sit on the hub i wasnt planning on using spacers .guess i have to.
good luck fitting a 16x9 ET 5 (after 10mm spacer) on the front. mexi poke for the loss.

oh damna 9 +15 on the front is quite agressive as it is, spacers are out of the question..... vr6's have the larger brakes and maybe you were reading up on people with the smaller brakes on the 2L..... as Joe said (depending by how much is needed), dremel/grind the carrier.....
Have you got the early brake setup with 280mm rotors? If so, one solution is to find some 288mm brakes (calipers, rotors, pads needed) and use them, they provide a lot more clearance. You don't want to run spacers for the front, or your Mk3 will look like a rollerskate.
How much smaller are the 288mm brakes? Are they much better as far as braking power is concerned? My RS dont clear my front 280mm vr6 brakes although I can probably fix them with a grinder.
But yeah, you'll have to either change brakes or grind down your calipers depending on how much clearance you need, if you really need 10mm, taking a grinder to your brakes wont be the solution. A combination of a small spacer to the front, an angle grinder to the brakes and a good pull of the gaurds might be needed. Might want to space the back out a little to keep it even aswell.

Calipers are similar but for the 280mm, the carrier sticks out past the caliper, whereas the 288mm doesn't have that. As far as braking power is concerned, there really isn't much difference, if any, for the daily driver.
