I'd whack those 10mm spacers in the back and grind down the brakes/get smaller ones for the front and pull the gaurds all around to keep things in proportion You can pull gaurds without repainting, I'm going to give it a go on my mk3 soon hopefully and see how it turns out, its pretty common in other makes to do but havent seen it done much in mk3's.

Grinding break calipers isn't really recommended. I have smoothed calipers before to remove rough edges, but by no means removed a significant amount of material.

You're better off with spacers or shallower calipers. or skinnier wheels.

i want 9 all around with vr brakes i did some measuring tonight (front CAMBER -1•) i took the brake carriers out and put the wheel on and measured from the guard to the wheel lip which sticks out roughly 25mm.then i measured the rotor to the lowest part of the wheel spoke which was 30mm.then took the wheel off and put the carriers back on and measured from the rotor to the furtherest point of the carrier which was 40mm. so if i havnt got it wrong i could put on 12mm spacers which would have 2mm clearance between the carrier and spoke which saves me from grinding my carriers. also the measurment from the guard to the lip would be 37mm then roll the guards and pull them which i think would work tell me if im wrong somewhere. ive got lots of homework to do to try and figure it out ill put up some pics later on tmrw .

I'll pay to see 30mm roll on mk3 guards. By all means I'd love you to pull this off, but honestly I can't see it working.

for nines all round "they" say that 25f 15r works best for fitment..... atm i'm running 8.5+14 on the front of mine with -3.5deg camber and i'm still poking maybe <10mm? never measured.... so a 9 +5 will stick a further 15mm out from that....and that's without the vr6 wide track too.... you'll have to pull those fenders at least 15mm? then pull and space the rear so it's uniform..... do it.......i'm no pro, could be wrong, maths might be out... just throwing info I think I know at you to try make it work....
