I jacked it up and gave me enough room to poke around. It's rubbing only a little inside and this would explain the little specs or red that I'm seeing on the tyre.Quote:

Best option is to change tyres. Your rolling radius would be way out so your speedo won't be right and car won't be as quick as it should be. Put the stockies on or get the tyres swapped over. Cheaper than buying stiffer springs probably
Isn't this something the place I got my wheels aligned would tell me? Pretty disappointed because if I get new tyres I need to get them aligned again anyway.Quote:

They wouldn't know what tyres are standard on a mk3. It's not their job unless they ordered the tyres for you
You won't need another alignment from swapping wheels or tyres.
ok, thanks for clearing that up didn't know. I'll just put my stocks back on then. Switch back to the mk4 set then wait till the tyres wear out and order new tyres for the mk4 wheels.
If you look on your fuel filler door it has the tyre sizes.
The standard tires for VR6 are 205/50/15. If you are running 16" wheels you will need 205/40/16 or something like that. Running a 65 profile on either 15 or 16 inch wheels on a mk3 will mean endless rubbing
205/50/15 is the correct size for a vr6 on 15s but if budget is an issue 195/50/15 are more common and cheaper
