    Tim's Black Magic MK3 VR

Some current pictures (thank you to those whose photos I am using) to keep it updated:

    Modification journal for the golf:

    Engine:

*2.5 inch mild steel exhaust system
    *Stainless steel extractors
    *High flow catalytic converter
*K&N drop in replacement oil element air filter
    *Peloquin LSD
    *ARP differential bolts
*BFI stage 0.5 front engine mount

    Suspension/Handling:

    *CX Racing Coilovers
    *R32 rear control arm bushings
    *Polyurethane front control arm bushings
    *Neuspeed front strut brace
    *Heavy duty rubber strut mountings
*Refreshed ball joints and tie rod assemblies
*MK4 R32 front brake setup (334mm) with EBC Redstuff pads
    *ATS Type 10 17x8+35 w/KU31 205/40/R17

    Bodywork:

*3M matte military green vinyl wrap
    *Replica ABT sideskirts
*Thule 404 roof racks and fairing
    *Joey modded headlights
*Hella smoked front reflectors and indicators
    *Hella fog lights
    *Window tint
    *Rear wiper delete
    *Hella supertone horns

    Interior:

*Full suede reupholstery of headliner and A, B and C pillars (thanks Simon!)
*Fusion sound system (2x12 inch subwoofers, tweeters, component fronts and 2-way rears)
    *Kenwood head unit
    *Golf ball gear knob
    *Leather interior

The car came to me with paint that was very poor. I resprayed the car at home during a holiday break and had it like that for about 6 months. I then bought some vinyl wrap and had a go at wrapping myself. I am quite happy with how it turned out but there are still some areas which I would like to re do in the future. Among this I've added various exterior items which are detailed above.

The suspension was very poor also, I'm not sure of the previous life of the car but it had obviously been neglected in this regard. I fitted all new coilovers and completely refreshed the subframe to make the car fun to drive again. The outcome was excellent.

The interior was not too bad, I managed to buy a wreck recently from the auctions that had many parts of use to myself. This included a suede interior. A few hours of work and the interior looked better than it ever had.

    Tim.

Good stuff! Can I suggest things like shaving rear wiper? Maybe bumpers and similar little body work if your spraying again? Would be the ideal time.

I was going to wait but since you asked

Bumpers I'll wait and see, I'm still undecided on shaving thus far.

Too good! I'm also undecided on bumpers but I love a shaved wiper with emblem which looks like your doing. Awesome! Maybe one day I'll get some bodywork done to mine...

Cool, love the Audi wheels, unique and different, but still OEM, which is cool.

    Thanks Jarred.

The car is going in a somewhat different direction now. I'll leave it at for now but it's gonna be good
