Wrong matty, beat the crap out of their parents for creating the little ****s. then beat the **** out of the kids for letting their parents raise them that way

Bosch do make aeros for the MK3 (i know I have them ), they're not listed on their site but the part number is #AR533S

    Try this place, where I got mine from and they were great. Reasonable postage and only took about a week-ish to get here;

Thanks man i'm looking towards some of them. The aerotwin's look pretty nice

I need to replace the drivers side wiper arm though... It looks like I will have to get them from VW. can anyone point me to a part number for it?

hmmm... being that the passenger side is fine, and the DIY conversion only requires the passenger side, its looking like a pretty convenient mishap.

Overall this little act of vandalism is going to cost me quite a bit anyway because the pothole that I hit while I couldn't see means that I have to replace a tyre and a buckled rim... $350 cha-CHING!

sorry to hear 'bout the car.
if you take your chassis no into a vw dealer they can find the part no, I've just ordered a wiper arm for my cabrio and the theives charged $72 and its going to take 2-3 weeks .
maybe see if someone is breaking a car, you should be able to get a 2nd hand one to get you going.
I **** myself every time I leave my car anywhere, there are so many muppets out there i think one day my roof is going to be slashed.

So I have sorted all this out now...

I removed the rear wiper motor and sealed up the hole left by the wiper arm.

If anyone else is looking at doing this, the hole is exactly 1". This is what I used: Champion Blanking 1" grommets.

I also managed to bend the front arms back into shape (after ALOT of force - those things are just about as sturdy as the rest of these german tanks....)
This is what I bought on the weekend from Supercheap

Bosch Aerotwins on sale for $23 each. They look SO good and they wipe so cleanly!

Sorry for the blurry photos, iPhones don't take good macro shots due to lack of focus...

    Looking good bboyskidz

Can you possible send us or post up a distance shot of the rear hatch without the wiper? I am just curious as to how it would look as you've got me thinking about getting rid of mine.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I like my rear wiper. Handy for when it rains and all

yeh i thought that too but there doesn't seem to be that much of a reason to look back anyway. I have a reversing camera and side mirrors...

sorry to hear what happened to your car mate, its a low act. i know how you feel, my drivers side window got smashed in one night a few months ago, althought it was a little more expensive than $23 wiper blades and a grommet to fix unfortunately .

seems to have worked out well in the end for you though and the new parts look awesome!

btw, do you only have one chrome side mirror cover or did one get stolen?

haha yeh funny story that - I whacked it off as I was rushing to catch the train to work and didn't realise that it fell under the car. I got back to the station and I drove over it that night clever one aye...
