Question time for a new clutch!

After 158,000k my clutch is basiclly dead...so since I have to get it done I might as well do an upgrade!

Any recommandation for a good clutch kit? what are your opinions on lightend fly-wheels?

and how many hours labour am I looking at to get it done by the mechanic?

    Thanks in advance!

MJM Autohaus have a great deal on the Autotech lightened steel billet flywheel and Sachs OEM clutch kit, they quoted me USD$525 shipped for both which is a bargain when u take in to consideration the exchange rate at the moment, that's about AUD$580 Less than you'd pay for a clutch kit alone from VW I think? Happy days..............

    That price sounds great,
how much difference does it make? Is it a massive difference?

I haven't got one myself....yet.... I'm told it makes a noticeable difference with the lightened flywheel though, much quicker throttle response and builds up the revs a lot faster etc.

Fidanza flywheel = best out there.

I think Black VR6 has one. You will have to import it but its stupidly light and strong. No clue on clutches, sorry.

    Labour will hurt. $500+ easy.

Thanks for the recommandation matt, had a look on the site but there are no prices, might have to PM blackVR6.

I also found http://www.advancedclutch.com/ on the useful tuning thread, anyone had experience with them?

    Is this a good combo?

Thanks every1 for helping me..appreciate it!

PS: I'm curious why there are no 94 VR6 products? They all seem to start at 95.
