Even good Mk1s dont sell. Everyone wants one for $1000, and will then spend another $6k to get it up to scratch. Its easier to just buy one for $5k that has had $10k spent on it, but most people who want a Mk1 dont have that kind of budget.
I can think of lots of better cars you could get for $6k.
Sorry for the hijack Wabit. Sell your Mk1 and then buy a Vento, but there are bugger all out there...

Dom get the mk1 up on carsales for drug money it'$ going to take time to get the right buyer. I sold my mk1 VERY easily but circa $2k for a good 2 door is an easy sale.
u blokes dont get it, the car was sold for 8k in MAY '08 (thats more than what they were NEW!!), the mk1 is 32 years old, id like to see any mk3 sold for anything close to that when they turn 32 .....
