If u turn it and then release straight away, the windows wont go down. This is a normal feature of golfs and the same can be done in reverse, i.e. lock all doors and hold then all the windows go up. Have a play around with it, i think its awesome

New key depends on whether urs has immobiliser or not. Cheapest for immobiliser is about $90 i found.

Or round $200 if you go to VW.

What year model do you have?

Hey mate, I searched around in Adelaide for another key for my MK3 and found Knight Locksmith on KingWilliam Rd in the city to be the best. Great customer service and quick (even though they had to order a blank key from Vic). Was about 120$ in the end as they have to chip the key to work with your immobiliser.

Jeez, I got my spare key cut and programmed for $44 last year...

As for the funky function, don't play with it to much or you will anger the regulator gremlins and they will stop you windows from going up again in the name of poetic justice!
