Took two cranks to start it on Friday morning. Got 100m from the driveway then it died. Tried starting it again a few times and it felt like there either wasn't enough fuel or there was too much. Looked under the car and it seemed like it was leaking fuel, from the front near the fuel lines. Tried a few more times but was a definite fuel leak and wouldn't start.
Arranged to have it towed to the mechanic yest morning. Tried it a couple of times before NRMA came and it wouldn't start and NRMA wouldn't tow it for free cause it was modified (lowered - NRMA policy apparently.) Paid $80 to another towie to tow it down the road to the mechanic. He rings me up - what's wrong with it? I tell him it won't start and it was leaking fuel. He'd just started it - bit of a cough and a splutter but then it was fine. Drove it around the block, all fine no fuel leaks. He thinks maybe that taking it off and on the tilt tray might have jolted something, maybe it was flooded before or might have been the computer giving too much fuel. Drove it today no problems.
Any ideas? Sorry for the epic post!
Cheers,
Mike
