    Static Cling!

    Hey guys,
Seeing as no one answered in the detailing thread i'll ask here- After I wash my car and its all nice and shiny within 2 hours the bugger is all dusty again! When I try to wipe it off all that happens is it moves around the car like its stuck to the paint by static. What am I to do? Has anyone else had this problem?

Mk3's make their own dirt. Especially on the back and inside the door jams. Sadly...there is no cure. Please contribute all u can to 1800-I CANT WASH MY CAR CAUSE OF WATER RESTRICTIONS AND IT MAKES ITS OWN DIRT!!!!!!

Attach one of those earth strap thingies you can get from Super Cheap? It looks ridiculous though.

use a microfibre cloth for your final buff, they attract the dust and will keep most of it off the car once your done

yes the microfibre does the trick, but only until the static builds up again. the only way to stop static is the earth strap - which i could never be seen with... maybe there is a way to strap it to the under side of the car without it being seen? i wouldn't go there tho haha
