Hey guys,
I just got a huge package from germany with front struts, front wheel bearing, outer tie rods, timig belt kit + waterpump and some small stuff. So I think I will have some fun over the next weeks.
I have never replaced front struts before and was wondering, if I can get the springs off without an extra tool or if I should bring the old strut with the spring to a workshop to get it off and onto the new strut? Has anyone done the job and has some advice on how to do it best?
The next question is on the front wheel bearing. They are presses in right? Is there a way to get it done at home or is that another case for the workshop?
The last thing that would be awesome to know is, where to get the triangle shape nut, so I can take of the fuel pump?
Sorry to ask so many questions, just want to get the car into good shape asap.
