    so should of done this into a cabriolet........
    a4 1.8tq,s4 mirrors,genuine,a8,wheels,black side markers,rs4 grill, apr r1 dv,neuspeed springs 2" drop waiting for haltech ecu

    cabby would be mad, but prices are still sky high. you'd have to find one wth a dcky auto or something.,

    Yup Cabriolet prices are still very hight. Its only recently that 2 door CL prices have dropped, they were more than a VR6 a year ago.

    You could put a VR6 into a Mk3 cabriolet without engineering. The Mk3.5 (Mk4) Cabriolets have a different approval number, so you cant do it. I reckon you could put a 20VT in one of those though, as the RTA think its a Mk4.

    Trouble with the later model stuff is that you need standd alone fuel management as the factory computers need the ecu, clocks and key etc from the donor car. Some even require the convenience modules

    For ease of conversion and to avoid blowing the budget, its best to stay plug and play.

    Drove this car today to get it inspected and change the engine number and capacity. No dramas there and it cost nothing at the RTA

    The thing absolutely hammers. Its the fastest VR6 I have been in.
