guess i'll get saving instead of spending money on the 4door, that sounds like a decent price![]()

cabby would be mad, but prices are still sky high. you'd have to find one wth a dcky auto or something.,
good work Matt. coming together nicely.
Thanks Jarrad.
Yup Cabriolet prices are still very hight. Its only recently that 2 door CL prices have dropped, they were more than a VR6 a year ago.
You could put a VR6 into a Mk3 cabriolet without engineering. The Mk3.5 (Mk4) Cabriolets have a different approval number, so you cant do it. I reckon you could put a 20VT in one of those though, as the RTA think its a Mk4.

nah VR6 in a mk3 cabby is better! its a cruiser not a rocket ship![]()
yeah, also in a cabby, if you boot it mid corner the chassis will probably twist in half.
how's the headlining coming along? nearly all together?
87' MK2 GTI
13' MK7 TDI
actually the cabrios are stronger built bc they have to be strudy in roll over situations
lol. i'm kidding. they have longitudinal crossmembers to prevent torsion. of course they're not going to twist in half.but they're also heavy.. i'm not much of a fan (you prolly guessed)

Cool buildtotal swap is the way to go. It will be a pop to sell - has the queue started yet?
The weight difference between the 5dr VR6 and the same in a 3dr is about 80kgs
