Looks awesome!!
Hi all.
This is 'Gary', my 1996 VW Golf MK3 GTI.
A rare model in Australia (i.e.never released here), I imported it on my return to Australia from the UK in 2009.
This 1996 MK3 Volkswagen Golf GTI is an iconic modern classic hot hatch.
It is powered by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated inline-four cylinder engine, driven through the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
The car is originally a UK-delivered model, which I imported into Australia and is now located in Sandringham, VIC.
Comments welcome, if further interested message me, because Gary is a great guy....and he's also rare as hens teeth!
Looks awesome!!
Hi and welcome. Im sure I saw this car advertised for sale about 12 months ago?
As nice as 'Gary' is, it is a pity he is not the even rarer MK3 GTI 16V.
Mk3 GTIs (8V only) were also available in South Africa, where the top MK3 was the VR6 ( owned a silver VR6 and loved it).

I had a 2-door '94 GTI Mk3 8v in white with a crossflow head back in Brazil (in the early 2000s), and I miss that car so much. I’d love to have another one.
