8V yes? I drove 1 of those for a bit many years ago in South Africa (they never got the 16V MK3 there). Looks really good!
Nah...it's not!
It is...but there's plenty of VR6s...
Super rare
Hens teeth
This is 'Gary', my 1996 VW Golf MK3 GTI.
A rare model in Australia (i.e.never released here), I imported it on my return to Australia from the UK in 2009.
This MK3 Volkswagen Golf GTI is an iconic modern classic hot hatch, with factory fitted 'Longbeach' alloys, something UK dubbers will recognise.
It is powered by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated inline-four cylinder engine, driven through the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
The odometer shows 165k miles from new, being my daily drive for the last 14 years in ole blighty and back here in Melbourne. Maintenance has been terrific with the team at The Garage in Brunswick.
Comments welcome, message me if further interested, and let's all celebrate 'Gary' as he is as rare as hen's teeth!

There were no MK3 GTI 8Vs or 16Vs here in Oz. Which is mystifying!
