Would you repaint your bonnet bro? I think it would look good with white bonnet/black roof..

Mike, i've wanted to spray up that bonnet for a loooooooooooong time man, just never got round to it will do though, i reeeeaaaaaaally need to lose the JDM theme yo

Alex! lol, yeh the specs are:

    Duration : [.1mm+cl] 290deg and [1mm+cl] 249deg
Peak angle : 112deg intake and 108deg exhaust
Valve lift : 12mm intake and exhaust
Lift at tdc : 2.6mm intake and 3.15mm exhaust

It is the most extreme we could go without changing to a mechanical vlave train . . .

All this work looks expensive, but I'm sure it'll go like crazy afterwards.

What else is being done as well as engine, intake/exhaust/suspension as well? Or is that stuff ok at the moment?

Take the time to read the thread, it's a good read and the details you seek are actually included.

lol, thanks Mal, yeh it's all in the thread though to answer here if your too lazy to read through the pages; it's not being a cheap build especially because i'm trying to use the best components and shops where I can, all things like valve springs, valves, retainers, pistons etc. and the shop to perform the head work and bottom end, I could have definitely gotten cheaper but I want to do it right the first time even if it takes me longer to do for money reasons

intake will be taken care of via the Schrick intake manifold, exhaust will be done through Custom Exhaust Specialists (CES) (big rep for super quality work with the abilities to custom tune your exhaust to suit your cams and head work to give you the powerband you want/ thinking side exit ), suspension has been taken care of with Drummond Motor Sports (DMS) 50mm coilovers with Koni 300lb front and 250lb rear springs.

the complete list is on the front page

Just wondering if you plan to install any strut top bars?

And 300/250lb spring rates, is that high? Been reading up on FWD suspension setups and a lot of the numbers (mostly for jap & american cars) are a fair whack higher.

I was thinking it was relatively low for a car thats going to see a lot of track work. My PSS9 coilovers come stock with 400lb front and 275lb rear springs from memory.

No, no strut top braces; I had the front Neuspeed top tie bar but the design is piss poor + the mk3 doesnt need it since the towers are welded to the firewall so there's no chance of movment.

As for the spring rates, they're plenty stiff enough, if anything I want to soften it up; I've had numerous suspension shops and people tell me those spring rates are more than ample for the size and weight of the car! If you want to bounce down the road like an import than go stiffer I've noticed in a lot of my mates with imports that have coilovers are extremely stiff, perhaps trying to cater for the drift scene?!

Oi, i have a nuespeed front strut tie bar! Hehehehe. It made small a difference in turn in.

I dont remember what rates my KW V2LE coilovers are, but they are plenty stiff enough, comfort wise.
