    Thumbs up Seat Content

Hey fellow dubbers, quick question hopefully someone might be able help me. How hard is it to fit mk4 seats into a mk3?

I know that there is some modifications involved to do with the frame rail, but how much?

    Thanks in advanced

It's just a small modification that could possibly be done even for an amateur welder. I've looked into it before and have made a few searches, and came across this: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3195980

    Hope it helps.

P.S. dibs on your VR6 seats if you fit in Mk4 leathers

That way is definately illigal and probably unafe if the welding isnt top notch.

Legally you would also need an engineering certificate.

I`d skin the material off the Mk4 ones and use a mk3 lower half and the original brackets on the car. No welding or ghetto fixes needed.

It sems to be really close, but wont fit

The rear seats are supposed to be hard to fit as well

Are you saying that you could take the foam and material off the seat and then use it on a mk3 frame?
