Hmmm.. interesting.. the polo already has an APR flash... maybe just a KO4 upgrade for the 20VT.. and your saying i can get away with fitting the Polo computer into the seat.. and have the immobilizer 'defeated'?? do i not need the clocks from the Polo to go into the SEAT if i want to keep the standard Polo ECU?... Im a little confused.. and im sure this is probably the wrong thread...

You can fit whatever you want to the Ibiza - depends how much money you've got!

There's no point paying for an aftermarket ECU if you have a complete 1.8T donor car to pick apart (?). If you have a bare engine and loom, though, it's a different story.

Always fit OE stuff over aftermarket, wherever possible - unless you're really going to modify an engine beyond the potential of original parts.

As Gavin has mentioned, a GT28 will be a handful in an Ibiza and will add many additional expenses for driveline upgrades. An Ibiza with even 200hp is plenty of fun on the street.

A more interesting swap would be a 24v VR6 from a Bora. You'd need a different gearbox bellhousing (something you needn't worry about with a 1.8T swap), but at least it's something different 1.8Ts go well in terms of bang for buck, but they're not exactly an evocative engine.

There were 54 Cupras sold here with the ABF and 25 Toledos.
    Thats not many ABFs.
However, you need the dash loom, immobilizer box, ignition lock, key and engine loom to make it run.
Without the complete kit, you wont get much for it.
