    You would probably only see that once it's been rotting for quite a while. Mine made no such clues and fortunately I was giving the car a thorough inside and out clean which led to finding rust under the seals.

    If you're trying to check them for rust, lift the seals up a bit. It's usually where one end of the seal meets the other.

    Maybe it's just my car but I've found another patch of surface rust. It's inside the hatch, under the taillight bulbs and all. You gotta lift the perforated cover that stretches along around the strut towers. I've got some surface rust happening there

    I've also some little patches of rust near the door hinge bolts as well.

    Dammit, this ain't good.

    I got a 3/95. I got rust in the same spot.

    No rust for me yet, as far as I know, and mine's compliance '95 with '94 build so I think I'm doing well
