Re-check the leads. Quite often they don't clip back onto the spark plugs properly.
Also, the leads are pretty fragile, so you may have damaged one, and not known about it.
Hey all!
So last week I bought a set of NGK BKR5EKU Spark Plugs which seem to be the best! So yesterday I got to installing them and after a lot of fiddling with some pliers, I eventually changed them all without breaking anything.
Also the old spark plugs that were in there from the previous owner were Bosch plugs.. which i've heard isn't good for the vr6.
But anyway, after changing all the plugs and plugging the leads back into the coil pack, I let the car idle for 5 minutes or so and then took her for spin. It started feeling extremely sluggish and hesitant, and below about 3k RPM's it would feel like you were about to stall. It would idle at about 650 RPM's and felt like it was about to stall all the time so I kept my foot on the throttle to keep the RPM's up.
Now, i'm wondering what went wrong here, before I changed the plugs it all worked pretty smooth, solid 700-800 RPM idle and great acceleration, and well now.. its just ****.
Would it be possibly that the coil has broken?
Cheers guys,
Mim

Also check the plug leads where they plug onto the plugs for signs of arcing. Try and re-fit them but if it persists, then you may have to replace them.
Yeah those leads were a pain to put back onto the plugs with such little room and such big pliers! But I'm sure they're on, but will double check! Cheers!
And mmm if one of the leads are broken, is there anywhere in Melbourne preferably that stock the correct leads for the VR6? Or anyone on the forum here that has an extra spare set that I can buy?

...also make sure you have it in the right firing order. Did you mark the leads before you removed them? Did you check the gap on the s/plugs before you installed them?

They're definitely in the right firing order! And I bought the plugs from Bursons and it was to my awareness that they were already gapped. Didn't cross my mind to check! But I just had a look at the wires and cylinder 5's plug lead was wobbly as hell! Just pulled it a bit with my hand and it popped right out... had a look and the little copper cup inside the plug lead that seats around the spark plug is broken!
Looks like i'm after a new plug lead set :\ Is there anyone on these forums that has a set they're selling that you guys know of?
Will be much appreciated.

Get the set of Bosch leads, they're better than NGK. There is Bosch sponsor in the Sponsors section, ask him.
