    Road trip!

    Hey guys,

Looking to take my golf gl on a 1600odd km trip around november.

Just wondering anything I should replace/check besides tyres and brakes etc.

Any electrics? Im worried ill do a crank sensor or something bull**** in the middle of no where tbh.

I've got new brakes all round, discs and pads, new rear shocks (hopefully get fronts done before I leave)..

Tyres will last another 5000 at least.

    Help!

    Cameron

    CL, GL or VR6.

    Coilpacks go...

I did nealy 6000km's at the start of this year in my CL and didnt have a problem.

I do advise you watch out for hippies on crack (Damn lady wrecked my nice front end)

biggest thing to check i reckon would be your cooling system. Nothing worse than being stuck in the middle of nowhere cos you burst a crusty old hose.

Definitely, pick up an ignition coil as a spare. Not expensive but they commonly crack.

    1,600km isn't that far

If your concerned about anything I think it would be that your tyres only have 5,000km left in them, to me that says they are shot but you don't want to change them yet.

No, the tyres have at least 5000km, more, probably more like 15k with the power/speed this thing doesnt have.
