    Replacing mk3 Brake Master

    Hi all.
Here is my current master. I have tried several good brake specialist who cant match my master Cylinder?
The VW wrecker has a mk3 VR6 master amd when I went there it was different.
What do I do? How can this be so difficult.
I dont want to buy the wrong one.

What makes u say your MC is buggered ?
If it is, a new one will restore any lost baking power. Recommend option.
There's obd1 (has black plastic going around the whole car, bumpers/door trim) and obd2 (colour coded, no black plastic on bumpers/door trim like yours).

Can't remember if all obd2 MC's are the same, but any obd2 MC should fit on any of the 96-98 models.
Also if your fluid level stick floats about loosely, then your reservoir cap is letting dirt get in your fluid!
VW being VW decided there'll charge something like $96 for the cap and about 10 bucks more will score u the whole reservoir (including cap).
