Replaced the Sump Gasket

There's no need to unbolt the tranny out either right? You can access the bolts on the tranny side without having to move it over a bit?

There is a small metal plate attached to the tranny you have to remove, 2 x 11mm bolts from memory, and you can get at a couple extra screws you can't immediately see.

Thats what I found too, didnt find them initially.
Mine had been weeping for a while too but I smashed it and ended up leaking 2-4L overnight so needed to change.

Did you clean the coal out of your strainer while you were there Aaron? or are you one of the lucky ones with a clean strainer???? best time to do it, ah trust me to say so after you have the sump on!!! oh and the sump looks rad mate!!!

I had a look at the bits and didn't notice any buildup, the photo's are basically from just after the sump was taken off.

The oil is changed every six months and I don't do alot of KM's so maybe thats the saving grace.

haha yea looking at that for too long has the same effect as the sun.. my eyes are burning.


Think I gotta do this soon, mine leaves a nice few drops everytime its parked, giving the garage floor a bit of style (which the parents dont seem to appreciate)
