Question regarding spark plugs and leads

    hi all,
just to let you all know that i am learning fast about my vr6 from this forum.

but the thing which i cant find is if i had to change my plugs to ngk platinum plugs. heard that changing my plugs would mean i have to change my leads, although i also heard taht i have to have the right l;eads for my car.

heard that there is a different between the stock red vr6 leads and black leads. does anyone know anything about this??

    cheers

Mine where changed from black to red leads during a service once. They are exactly the same.

I had NKG platinums put in my vr6 on my last service. No need to change the leads.

I used platinums before, however now I have put in some irridium ones from NGK, the car runs loads better,, especially when hot.

You should give them a go.

    Reeeeeeeeeeeallly??

Didnt think you could get irridiums for the VR6. Platinum plugs made bugger all difference. I couldn't tell at all. Where did u get your irridium plugs, sir?
