    Exclamation Recaro Seats

    Hey People

How easy or hard is it to take off the front seats in a vr6, in a attempt to change the bolsters on my car. I want to swap the passenger side one for the Drivers side one for now, until I get a bit more money.

No one really sits in the passenger side seat except my missus and shes gone overseas for a few months.

Can anybody help me, saying thanks from now
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...

I think you just undo the bolt at the front and it should slide right out. Thats how it was for my Mk1 and Mk2.....

there is a pin that you squeze, and remove, then lift the slid lever, and slid the seat out of the rails. As for seat base removal, i have no idea.

yeh i was going to do this coz the driver's side foam on the right side has broken off inside the fabric because of so much getting in and out.

i slid the seat out, and tried to swap the seat-angle-adjuster-rolly-thing which turned out more difficult than expected. I didn't really have the time to un-bolt the racks but I might have another look this weekend. ( i've been putting it off due to floods on the nsw coast... my car is fine but luckily it isn't made out of paper like the one in my avatar )

back on topic, if anyone swaps seats like this before the weekend or has done previously, post up, i'm curious.

its at the back (pretty sure it is on the rail closest to the centre), remove the black plastic covers on the outer rails for a better look...

Push the seat all the way back and you will see where its mounted in the centre. The pin in question stops the seat from completely sliding rearwards. Its that simple
