Very simple tool you can make from scrap metal, if you had a welder.

I've made it 20 years ago to remove hub from Mazda323 and have used it recently.

This forum is the best! Thanks all!
I decided to switch the whole rear axel set, so it will all stay together for now. It's a long story, I'm out of touch see? Too much time adding sweet aftermarket bits to luxobarges and not enough toiling on my mk3. Outta touch!

If you've got that nut out I'd just go at it with a big ****ing hammer as long as you dont want to reuse the brake disk. Mine have always come off very easily aswell.

For future reference, the reason it so difficult to remove the hub was because of the inch or so of play in it. The bearing was seized on and my hammer is for hanging artwork, not wailing on rotors.
