Question re: water temp on a VR6

Hi all, i'm sure that this has been asked a 100 times before. What are the correct parramaters for water temp in a VR6? As an example, should water temp needle always be sitting at 90 (middle) and constantly sit there like a BMW does (regardless of wheather and driving conditions) or does it fluctuate depending on wheather, driving conditions, etc.?
My understanding is that fan also comes on bewteen 90ish - 100 degrees?

    any insight is much appreciated,

Question re: water temp on a VR6

nfi. but mines ALWAYS been in the middle once I hit op temp.

if it were any different (in my car) I'd be a little concerned.

Do you find that it drops much or pretty much is there all the time?

mine is all the time once it's at temperate.

this is all daily driving mind you and your results may vary if you track it or thrash it for a long time.

OK, i find mine is always fluctuating between 80 -90c. can go up depending on driving and temp outside etc, but just want sure. Back in a VW after 12 years of driving bm's and im use to how they operate for obvious reasons. Guess i just being paranoid as im use the Bm's now.. rain hail, shine, putting around or thrashing... sits on 1/2 and never moves..

Mine always sits about the same, with in a 10 degree range and I am happy with that. Your sounds about right too. Yes, my fan comes on about 100 and off again once it gets below 95.
