can i ask how much is coming off the money tree for all that?
Well all in the land they call VW of late some may know that I have purchasing items like crazy :] Shaking the money tree here and there!
Anyways It all started last week last Monday with on my way to work and got off the M4 at James Rues Drive and there was smoke/ steam pouring from my car ****, **** @(#%(@. Managed to get to work to find that my heater hose was ripped :[ It was the heater hose that ran from the back of the manifold to the firewall, not a happy chappy I can tell you! With coolant everywhere I managed to tape up the hole temperarily and then filled up the coolant tank with some H20 and limped all the way to EuroAuto in Girraween (Seb). He didn't have a hose for me at the time but we then started to talk about what could be done. I also needed my rocker cover gasket to be changed aswell and enquired about that.
(Seb) "Well while your there you may as well do this, this and this"
(Me) "Hmm interesting"
After making a deal with the devil I went home but this time not in my Golf but in a Ibeeza GTI!
Long story short, I am getting work done to my car lol.
So whats getting done is:
- New Cams 268's
- Port and Polish of the lower intake manifold (This is in preperation for a Schrick Manifold that I bought off Tim)
- GIAC chip
- New Spark plugs to go with the cams
- New Coolant
- Engine Oil as it was due for one
- Redline Gearbox Oil
This is the mechanical side of this little project, the next one will commence at the end of the month which is a front end change and respray of the bonnet, 2 front quarter panels, new badgeless grille, lower air ducts to be also painted white and new vr6 lip!
I am also looking at smoked foglights and Projector headlights mk4 style so the hunt is still on for them.
All this to be completed by the Autofest which is in Canberra this year in October!
In reference this is what the car used to look like well still is sought of lol.
Ride height has also changed with the adding of new suspension. Two weeks ago I had KW V2's fitted, let me say OMFG what a difference.
This will be updated randomly so yeah feel free to enjoy and comment, all welcomed!
No Pics of project at the moment as they are on my other comp lol
Future mods will be interior redone and then some more shaving
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...
can i ask how much is coming off the money tree for all that?

Sounds like a nice little setup coming together.
Would be very interested to see a before and after dyno (or at least an after) to see what sort of performance increase there was.
