Does he have the number plate recess shaved too? I was thinking of shaving the rear lock but leaving the number plate recess! I've seen examples of completely shaved rear hatches and I have the same opinion as you do about them. Very Civic-esque.

how would you go about doing it? i mean what stuff do you use? like putty?

i'm keen on going badgeless and wiperless - i'd take away the handle but leave the recess and use solenoids...

Ahh OK. Yeah not my cup of tea either, but I've seen examples where they shave the lock but leave the plate recess. Very smooth look.

I have seen that car and it looks ok imo.
It`d be a big job to delete the recess. I`d weld in a piece of steel and then smooth over the whole lot. Would cost a bit, but you`d have to do it before paint.

Yeah thats right Its big as they cut the recess and then cut and weld another piece of steel into its place.

I've heard of a few guys that have cut the Mk3 plate recess and weld in the Mk2 plate recess, also giving that clean, no boot lock look.

Hey steve, you know how your badgeless grille is broken why don't you just leave it, might as well weld a boser to cover the broken bit, saves you repairing it.

Haha Louis, I'm thinking about it at the moment I'm trying to glue it and also fibreglass it back together!

As for the boser I have a second bonnet ready when the time comes though it is going on
