IMO I like the Diamond Racing steelies more. Quite a few US cars run them and you'll find lots more pics if you search for "diamond racing" on the Vortex.
If you were to go for new Keskin KT1s, I'd rather hunt down a set of multi-piece OZ Futuras (the KT1 is a replica design of it). It'll be hard, but I have found a set on eBay before... though it's not easy acquiring a set! I offered a guy good money (ahead of his reserve) and he couldn't do it as someone else offered him more!
I like to the vortex for inspiration cause, no matter how much you hate there forums are sh17 or puckd up, there rides are amazing!!! The fact those guys do most of there work by themselves is fantastic it gets me inspired thats for sure!
I am looking for individualism however I am taking parts from different cars and trying to mold them all into mineOne day I hope to strip it down again and then restart the whole process, completely bare and back to glory but that will be a full restoration and 15 years away lol.
Hmm thats interesting Raymond, What I was planning on doing was buying MK4 spare steelies and getting them widened to the desire that I want would this work?
Anyway the Diamond ones that you suggested Ray:
Nice wheel IMO but they would cost a fair bit for getting them sent to Australia wouldn't they?

A person's car is an expression of their own individualism.
Even though you may have seen something before, in a magazine, on a website and it may look great, just keep in mind it was never your own idea. You are better off, in my opinion, looking at wheels out of the VW tuning concept and looking simply at the wheels themselves in the context of your own car and how it would be percieved by yourself firstly and then by others.
If you end up even buying 10' drift wheels that look good, buy them! Don't think about the other tuner cars since firstly, its not your car, secondly you can't see the car in the flesh and chances are they have a different set on by now.
So yeah, I've probably confused you even more but I can see here that your going for a very specific look and trying to create a unique car. So, I believe you should engage in this process and stop looking at VW tuners and at more wheels catalogues to keep things in perspective.
At least for the time being...
With 10" rears and massive tyres allround i feel i would be slowing the car down, if i put that much money into the engine then i would want it to be as fast as possible, stock size rolling OD of wheels and low resistence. ive had cars on the ground and they where fun (beetle with less then 50mm clearence to the sump, 3 splines on the back) but you couldnt push them. if you do show+go the car seems to become a compromise between both and never as good as it could be.
But then again with all the cops its lost the fun of having a fast car. they have new rules coming in now or very soon. 9 months goal for a burnout yeah thats going to make everone safe. what about the ppl that bash guys or glass them and get off on a good b bond ??? anyway enough of my rant now.
cheers brenton

Interesting to think about that Brenton cheers for that, however Iam not going for Fastest VW or anything I'll leave that to Seb who is building a crazy vr6T drag car with full fibre glass frontI am really hoping for a mixture something that is clean, nice and pasteful and also something that will pick up and go when I feel like giving the road hell
