^^^^^ KEEP TOO THE TOPIC!!!! THIS IS STEVES THREAD!! . . . . . n:
Eventhough those figures might not impress on paper, how does it feel on the road?
Haha thats cool Alex if I can answer anyones questions I'm up for it=)
It drives alot better it feels alot smoother, not like a turbo obviously lol but you can feel like it wants to go harder and faster
I'm hoping with the schrick and a few other goodies that I will be able to get a few more kws at the wheels.
Anyway I have finally uploaded the dyno sheet in all its glory and a comparison. And if this comparison is anything to go by Malteser has a lower ks engine than mine which if ran on the dyno will be about the same, so by that gain I am quie happy actually
My dyno
The comparison dyno, asyou can see Matt (stifflers mom) was able to hold that torque line abit more than me, as where I hit it earlier.

hey steve,
just had a read it this thread, man you have done well with the golf, you have created a real mean machine . Id definatly say its the best VR6 in the country.
Hope all goes well with it dude, any other plans for the beast on the cards??

Thanks very much for that Luke I'm flattered, but there are many vr6 owners in Oz that are stepping up to the plate at the moment. K1LLZ in queensland is going to be a monster, troys and Andrews in melbourne and Matty's in WA all have there own spotlight on them. I'd like to think that theres are as good as mine
Things that I am planning is a schrick manifold, corrado throotle body and big bore intake, and then im planning on fixing up the doors and back bumper. Which after that I'll tackle the interior
But thats in short pretty much

There is no other way to mod a car like steve and all the other guys that steve mentioned has, pretty much everything went according to plan and a time fame was set and achieved. I really enjoyed this thread, its a real inspiration, im restoring my bug atm and im hopeless with the time frame lol, interior was supposed to be done in novemeber and that was a goal not achieved.
None the less, best of luck guys,

what steve is saying he has 114kw@ the front wheels, which is pretty good, that is the raw power the car puts to the ground, a SR20DE will be Lucky to get 80kw@ front wheels.
In most cases, cars lose 30% from the engine crank to the wheels, depending how well the drivetrain is designed on the vehicle, AWD or 4wd cars tend to lose more, due to the power deliveries to all 4 wheels.

so the numbers these guys are running may equate to close to 160kw at the flywheel? If thats the case its a fair whack better than a stock 128kw
Maybe not that much but something close to that equation I would say so! Its a mark that can easily be topped I think with alot of hard work and money
