Its getting there the car will be a little more fat with the dynomat but I have taken out the spare tyre and sandbags that were in itwhich is about 20kg I think.

Sandbags are found in under the foot wells, below the thick insulation padding.

Yep thats right not sure I'm guessing so there is actually a few layers of padding between the shell and the carpet believe it or not.

Ask Peter Jones, he took apart a GL and was complaining about having to take a trailer load exclusively for interior fixtures and sandbags!

Mate that sounds like a good couple of mods coming up.

I am interested in getting a chip but i have spoken to powerchip in melbourne & they want around 1k for a there chip, surely there is one out there cheaper than that.,.?? They told me that the power increase is up to 145kw.

I see that you said you are getting a GIAC one installled are the specks the same. I may give a seb a call i think.

Thanks mate, alot of time and effort for abit more than a few mods lol.

As for chips for the mk3 its very limited I can tell you that APR used to be in the game and now its only like GIAC and Powerchips, but there is also Neuspeed in the US but you need to see if they can make you a chip.

I have a Powerchip in my VR. I didnt pay for it tho It came with the car. wooo... I havnt drivin a standerd VR to compare but yea, they do say that its good for an extra 20 odd hp. But at $1000...wow...bit of money

Yep your right Eric for the money its not all that great! I think the GIAC will go up actually due to the US market. When I got it only cost me $800 for all of the maps aswell

REVO dont do a chip already asked long time ago when they first come out.
