Haha I'm sure having them slotted complements the brakes' performance. You're saying you getting new brake lines maded up - how much is that costing you? Braided brake lines?

If you are going from a 280mm to a 288 mm disk you will need to change the calipers and lines anyway
yeah i thought the 288s needed a caliper that would support the 25mm width of the discs. And the 312mm discs are 25mm as well. So with a spacer they fit the same caliper as the 288s. Having said that. the 288s are a reasonable setup as stock. ive only managed to cook my brakes once. and that was when i was doing mt hotham.
I'm guessing it's to do with the circulation and temperature of the fluid. I'm not really sure to be honest but they look good too :P
What, no 13" AP Racing kit? :D

^^^hehe, now we're talking! braided lines are: stronger, so that when you stomp your brakes the line doesnt expand and flex giving it quicker reaction to your input and a more solid pedal feel (I know this for a fact cuz after completing my conversion it was likw night and day! id recomend the upgrade to anyone whether tracking or not ). Other benifits i guess would be heat resistentance and i imagine would flow better being made of higher quality rubbers ;)
Thanks for that Alex, I think it will be worth looking at:D
