There's a button on the end of the right hand stalk and a sliding switch too. If you read the owners manual, it tells you all about it.

Ok I have a feeling this is going to be one of those stupid things that's really easy to do. I know you can show different stats on that screen on the tacho, mine is just stuck on time and I want to change to the L/100km screen and can't figure out how to...

Yep, just the button on the end of the wiper stalk. Will tell you the average consumption of your trip (if you stop the car for up to 2 hours it will still continue on from last time, if you dont start it for longer it will reset)
You have a bunch of other useful things in there too, like oil temperature. For a 17 year old car I found it all pretty cool, many new cars still don't tell you these things.
Edit: it may not be 2 hours, I may have just made that number up completely. It's something like that though. Should all be in your manual like h100vw said
would this by any chance be available on the CL as well ??

Oh i forgot to mention, theres a switch on the lever too, one option is your averages for the trip (just checked and it was 2 hours ) and the other is average of total journeys, which stores the data for up to 100 hours, 10000km or 1000 litres of fuel, then resets when you go over one of these, or if you disconnect the power or reset it or something.
Probably isn't in the CL, easiest way to check would to be go look If you have a LED screen under the tacho which tells the time, then has km km/h and a few other symbols around it, you might have it, if not, then no.
Not exactly showing it but on mine it shows how many km's you get for whatever your petrol is on.
On the odometer there that little stalk thing. Tap it once and it'll change from your cars kilometer range to 0.00km's Hence the km/L .
What i did was Full tank + kilometres = km/L hope that helps :S lol
Build and learn, not buy and earn.
I'll Give it a go and see what i can find ..
