Hi Fellas, just after some advice. I bought my 1996 Tdi in 2007 with 185,000kms on the clock. Apart from a loose engine mount, a rear wheel bearing and a dead starter motor it has performed faultlessly. Since that time I have not done any major maintenance on it apart from shock from memory. So it now has 270,000kms on it, and I am wondering what preventative maintenance you would suggest. I have all the cooling system hoses ready to replace them, and the air-con stopped being cool during the summer, so I know they need attention, but what else? Is it sensible to replace the radiator, I see it is alloy, and on another car I just noticed in time that the fins had corroded to powder, so that may be a good idea, what about the air-con radiator? What of timing belts, etc Thanks for your help guys and guyesses!
