Hahaha, lucky! Mine's got about five times as much wrong with it and I'm going strong!

Put the AC on when the window fogs up...if it's warmer inside the car than outside (technically, just the windscreen temperatures), that's when fog happens

I fitted the one from my A3 in the Toledo. It gets sub tropical in there now. The controls for directing the air have failed in grand style though so you can't direct air at the screen very well. The AC will clear the windows quick though when you need to.

Incidently the Toledo and A3 core had the same part number.

Getting somewhere back to the topic of this thread, how much would a VR6 be worth with a busted clutch ie. not driveable and all the other wretched problems associated with VR6's (ABS, Heater Core, AC, Window regulator etc)? It's a '93 build with about 220k kms. I was considering selling it for around $4k.
I was looking to upgrade my car anyway before today's clutch problem and I am now seriously wondering whether it makes financial sense to fix it and sell it or just sell it as a whole for parts. Whether the cost to fix it and my time and effort is just about as much as the car's worth?

If you fix things yourself with your time then it's worth selling as a whole, because you'll get more money rather than having to waste that on a mechanic or similar. Whether you want to/can do it or not is another thing though haha

my heater core, abs and one window regulator all doesn't work, and didn't when i first bought the car, and i bought it 2ish years ago for 6,500. Perhaps depreciation says 4k now, but I'd sell mine for 5.5-6 if it was the same as back then...i spose it just depends on the condition of the car as well.
