    One touch window down

Does anyone know, is there a way to toggle between making the window one touch and having to hold your finger on the button to make the window go down?
It was one touch, but since putting my car in to get the gearbox fixed, it has now come back with me having to hold my finger on the switch.

perhaps basic settings havent been reset?
put the window all the way down then all the way up, then once its all the way up, release the button, then push it again for about 3 seconds. see if that works. thats how golf 4's do it, im not sure if mk3s are the same

Interesting... will be interested to know if that does anything on a Mk3... also if it does something similar for one touch up...

All my windows have one touch down, the the passenger side front also has auto up, somthing I figured was because I had a second hand reg put in that had different features??

same here, all mine have auto down but my LHF and RHR windows have auto up, but drivers window and LHR both dont have auto up. i think its for the same reason u suspect, i think the window regs might be dodgy or have different features or something. i dunno, im not really too fussed with it. its a little annoying at times but i get over it

I believe it's to do with a wire that can be attached or put in place to acquire the feature. Some may have been done or come with it. I remember lots of variables between all my mate's vr6's.

    I might be wrong though!

Yep, thanks for the suggestion. Window down, window up, hold button for 3 seconds - one touch again!

Sometimes my VR is really clever and puts the windows down when i unlock her... Not very often though. Can anyone shed any light on that little gem?

I'll have to go check what my windows do, because i've never paid attention to it.
I'm going to the pub... I may be some time...

Yep, hold the key in the unlock position and all windows should go down, hold it in the lock position and they should all go up.

So does anyone know if that sort of thing works to activate the window up? I want to do it to mine so badly...and I can't test mine because I haven't bothered to secure my windows yet so they don't move
