Hey,
Just wondering if anyone has dyno'd their MK3s, particularly VR6s. Just interested to see if people have got the power that they've expected or if they've had power losses over the years. I haven't dyno'd mine and I don't expect power losses but who knows? Just curious![]()

They lose a bit, you (well atleast I could) feel a difference between stock vr6's I was test driving, mine with its low km's felt as though it pulled much harder, so I snapped it up
You have to remember these cars are up to 17 years old now, you cant expect supercar performance.
Put mine on the dyno in March when I bought it, stock with 270 000 odd kms, still pulled just short of 124hp at the wheels![]()
96 VW VR6 Golf (Daily driver)
65 VW Beetle (Under restoration)
60-something killer wasps at the wheels for my 8V! This was after a cam upgrade and lightweight bits mind you. 85kW at the fly says the factory booklet.
In addition to age and normal engine wear and tear, there are also driveline/transmission losses and the slippage between the dyno rollers and the
tyres
Yeah. Pulled pretty hard:

I knew I should have bought a CL!!!!!![]()
^^ hahahahahha
Mine pulled 108 fwkw/ 165hp (think that was the HP conversion, cbf doing maths atm lol) with a 2.25" magnaflow cat back and open K&N pod.
