hey guy just wondering if anyone has some good tips on lowering, what i should get and going around doing so..

It really depends on your budget and what you want to achieve from a setup

Give some more info and I'm sure the guys here can spear you in the right direction

But most of us will tell you to go coilovers, the more you spend the better stuff you get, but that being said theres some cheaper coils that will do the job if you just want to get low. Look at some peoples build threads and see what they did for an idea of whats involved. Check out the mk3 picture thread at vwvortex forums for some inspiration as well! Congrats on buying a vw!

thanks guys, well i had a look and i saw a few people using these coilovers Coilover Kit for VW Golf MK2 MK3 Jetta Passat B3 B4 but are they any good, as for budget not that tight but still dont want to go over the top..
If you guys have any other sites or anything much appreciated!!

try them or hit up some of the guys from these forums that Import and sell the stuff. I went with Nuspeed coilovers and while I was at it put in Neuspeed Sway Bars and Anti-roll Bars. My beast drives like its on rails! Feel it in the kidneys though lol. So the question is How Low Can You Go? Lower the better! And throw in some stance while your at it!

thanks guys, well i don't want to go to low due to that fact my area is cop hot and i get enough heat just for being a P plater, id like to go low but im just not sure how low to go, any takings on how low i should go??

The can of coke thing isnt actually right, iirc they're like 13cm. The law is 100mm. If they got out a coke can I'd take the defect, then dispute it and say you did have the legal clearance and they can't prove otherwise and hopefully get off fine free.

I rolled completely slammed for like a year, had no problems. Do it get some cheap coilovers off ebay. They're the same as the ones the guys on here will sell you.

haha yeah that would be sweet to ride slammed but im sure the speed humps will do damage, but do you have any tips or what ones i should have a look at sortofbigbj??
