Oh seriously WTF that is rough. Just a flesh wound, it'll tidy up just fine (assuming it didn't cop structural damage). Personally if I was in that situation I'd buy a blue Vento from NSW and attempt to drive it 1000kms only to have its gearbox fail after about 10, then try and trick JMac into adding to his busy schedule a VR conversion project...... oh wait.

BTW, was that you on Corro just before, turning right onto Park Rd (or one of those Rds)??? I was in that awesome massive people mover with my chauffeur taking me home.... ok FINE I was on a bus.

Hahahaha ahhh yeh no money left for another car... just gonna try and fix her up. There is some structual damage unfortunately. There's now a bubble in the boot where it's obviously been pushed up by the bumber bar support or something. And yehh I was on coro earlier! Did you see the silver duc tap sealing my hatch?

Sucks super hard. It was so clean.
I know. I'm actually depressed over it. Only bought her last week.

Yeah I did see the duct tape, was going to get a pic but silly samsung thing won't let me turn camera to silent and didn't feel like being the weirdo on the bus... on that occasion. Rest of the car looked good, I didn't catch the back end, just side and front.

Yeah I've got her hidden away in our dodgy old garage now. I'll tinker away with other things until they do the inspection. Probably get her repaired and then get Jmac to do the chains if he can fit it in.

Just make sure that you don't put too much money/effort in before it gets inspected. Cars are so easy to write off by just a small shunt and you wouldn't want to waste time/money on a car that is going to be scrapped.

Quoted $5023 for the repair today. I need a different repairer to quote it because the last thing I want to do is write it off. There is no way I am scrapping this car, it's too nice to do that.

Does anyone know of a repairer that would be good with a mk3 and not charge excessive amounts? for what it is, they are charging far too much in my opinion.

I think i'm looking at a write off Waiting for the assesment but judging by the quotes and the value of the car I think I'm buggered. Absolutely shattered. I guess I'll be back on the market!
